Bottom Type Mud

This is the larger of the two popular yacht harbors- English Bay being the cutest and most popular. Falmouth is easy to approach, has a wide entrance and buoys marking the channel once inside. There is lots of room to anchor and you won't have any swell in here.  Easy to see shoal areas. There is really good holding in places and poor holding in others. Be sure your anchor is set. There are marinas, restaurants, laundry service, fuel, local buses, a Budget Marine chandlery, and other shops. It is easy to walk over to English Bay and Nelson's Dockyard to check in, or take a cab. You are still in the national park if you're anchored here so you will be paying park fees at check-in/out.  Bailey's is the largest supermarket and is right across the street from Catamaran Marina.
