This dive is located right off Cockburn Town on Grand Turk, an easy dinghy ride from the anchorage. As dive mooring buoys run along much of the length of the western side of Grand Turk, look for a pair of moorings fairly close together just north of the anchorage off the town piers- out near the drop-off. The waypoint here is an estimate as we did not have our GPS with us. It is OK to use these dive shop moorings for your dinghy. There are usually plenty of dive boats out there to ask directions to the site. The anchor sits at the base of the mooring at 35 feet- it is actually tied to the chain of the anchor so you can't miss it! The ship it came from is unknown but thought to be a British vessel, and the anchor is thought to be 100 years old. It is now encrusted with growth. The drop-off is right at the mooring and is a sloping wall so choose your depth, there is very little current. Vis is compromised with silt when its been windy. You can do this dive through a dive shop too- Bohio Resort has one.
