Description (0)
This is Cadiz's main marina for transients and as of 2017, they had plenty of space. This marina is part of a group of several marinas in the Andalucia province called the Agencia Publica de Puertos de Andalucia. They have standardized pricing but varying facilities. Water & electric are included in the rate and all the usual amenities are provided here. Approach is easy, although in any significant weather or swell, it is best to use the buoyed channel- Canal Principal into Cadiz harbor rather than cut across the shoals. The marina entrance is the first opening in the breakwater once you enter the harbor. The second entrance belongs to the Real Club Nautico which might not have space for visiting yachts. There are two basins at Puerto America, the outermost is convenient for transient dockage with good protection but the inner basin is completely secure. The reception dock is all the way into the second basin in the corner under a large white building. Marina office is a small white building near it. 20 minute walk into lovely downtown Cadiz with tons of things to see & do. Not much near the marina except a small restaurant near the office and supposedly another one at Real Club Nautico.
