Admiral Marina is a popular Marina to
stop at when moving up or down the Malaysia coast. It has
approximately 130 full service berths in the complex and included
with your slip is access to a great pool and air conditioned work out
room in addition to restaurants & the Sailor's Bar. Full check-in
facilities, more restaurants and provisioning are available in the
town of Port Dickson, a 10 minute cab ride away. There is also a
local bus at the end of the driveway for the marina. Watch the charts
on your approach to the marina breakwater, because the water isn't
clear and there is a reef that runs along the coastline. The marina
monitors VHF 14. There is no longer has a fuel dock but fuel is available by jerry can from friendly locals at the marina at a good
price.
There is an old Portuguese/Dutch
lighthouse south of the marina with a forest park surrounding it, a
fairly easy cab ride away. Also, Kuala Lumpur is less than 2 hours
away by hired cab and is well worth exploring for a few days if
you're in the mood for a city atmosphere.
