Description (0)
Pangkor Marina is part of the residential & commercial development called Marina Island Pangkor built on reclaimed
land. It is right across from Pangkor Island itself and is connected
to the mainland by a bridge. Approach for the north or south to the
waypoint given and then head eastward in the marked channel to the
marina entrance. Or call the marina for assistance. This marina is run by James Koo, a very
knowledgeable and helpful person who is also very generous to Sail
Malaysia participants. The marina offers full service berths,
slipway, dry storage, covered storage and there are contractors who
work independent of the marina in painting, fiberglass and stainless.
The Jetty Complex houses the ferry that
runs to Pangkor Island along with some restaurants, shops and the
marina office. There is also a private waiting area for the luxury
Pangkor Laut Resort, a short ferry ride away. The marina rents cars
as does a more expensive private agency in the complex. Major
shopping and provisioning is available a cab ride away at or near the
Eon Mall. This is also a check-in point with immigration, customs &
quarantine in the town of Lumut.
