Good protection from light to moderate north weather, small anchorage with room for 4-5 boats in between the reefs and behind off lying islands (Monas). Good sand holding and access to sure near the reef for island exploration. Nesting grounds for Blue and Brown Footed Boobies, take care when walking for nests and eggs are strewn throughout the beach area. Also present are nesting Frigates and Iguanas.
