Pythagaria is the main ferry port of Samos,also the international airport is situated just outside the town. The home ofPythagoras and other historical figures,history's abounds around the harbour, including the ancient now submerged breakwater and the tunnel of Eupalinus,cut through the nearby mountain to bring a water supply into the city. Just outside the delightful port is a large bay where you can anchor and dinghy ashore.Or if water and provisions are required, anchor, stern too the town quay,a charge is made in high season of around 12 euro inclusive of electric and water.Many nearby shops just off the quay where you can replenish supplies.
