A good stopover marina as well as a winter home for many a snowbird living on a boat, this marina is very popular and has a unique set-up. We just spent 3 weeks here on a mooring and have to say that we thought the place was great! Approach is easy, staying close parallel to the bridge at ICW marker 139 following the channel. While there is dockage, it is easier to get a mooring. They are currently $17/night for any size boat (but not powerboats greater than 50 ft) with a better monthly rate and also a liveaboard charge. At busy times boats will be rafted up on moorings up to 3 deep but the moorings are rated for this and you can make new friends this way! All facilities ashore including a free bus to shopping. Easy parking, a small marina shop, a bike rack, oil disposal, etc. The marina grounds are lovely "old Florida" style with huge oaks, birds, and plenty of picnic space. Large park next door with exercise equipment and a dog run park. Less than a mile to the ocean side on a quiet road. Restaurants nearby, a great dinghy dock. The marina website has thorough info on pricing and facilities. A swell set up with friendly staff. I can see why people call this "Velcro Beach".
