Located within the Australian Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (GBRMP), Great Keppel Island (GKI) is one of the hundred of great anchorages off the Australian East coast. Situated approx 8 nm from Yeppoon, this is an island which has a protected anchorage for any wind direction including six (6) beaches at each location (+++). Anchorages/beaches include: Fishermans ('Resort Beach'), Long Beach, Svendsons, Leeke's and Wreck. North Keppel has its own charm just a few NM away. Both have great walks.
