The city of Washington, NC is 25 miles up the Pamlico River from the ICW. It is an historic town with a welcoming atmosphere and frequent events in the summer. The town welcomes boaters with 48hrs of free dockage on the bulkhead with longer stays possible for .75/ft (no services). They also have transient & long term dockage at their marina which includes all services. Attractive waterfront promenade with library, visitor center, boardwalk, museums, shops & restaurants within easy walking distance. The marina office is located in the lighthouse at the north end of the docks. The depths in the channel are greater than 9 feet and 12-24 ft alongside in the slips.
