Cies are the biggest islands in the Galician Atlantic Islands Maritime Terrestrial National Park. Navigation and anchoring are controlled. The Galician Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park (Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia) is the first and only space in Galicia with this status. These islands were declared National Park in 2002 as one of the best samples of the Atlantic coast and seafloor ecosystems in Spain.

Rodas Beach
Large beach of fine sand. There is a pier that during the summer brings visitors to the islands. There is a camping and several restaurants. The island can be visited and it is highly recommended to do so. The cliffs on the west face are spectacular. To spend the night, the cove to the south of this island is more suitable as it is protected from the north.
