Blue/White overnight mooring on the north western end of North West Island in the Capricorn Group. The approximate location of the mooring ball is 23 17'.29s 151 42'.66e. We are a 52' monohull weighing nearly 20 tons and inspite of 22 kts of wind, gusting occasionally to 30 , we felt very secure with the mooring. It has a very large pennant, long with a loop covered with chafe gear and about 25+mm in diameter.
The downside is the seas coming around the reef which during certain parts of the tide cycle makes this very uncomfortable.
