As at 1 September 2023 the mooring buoys outside the Harbour Master's office have been removed, following the failure of one mooring. It is necessary to anchor in about 16 meters; good holding in sandy mud. The other moorings behind Klar Island are still in place but it has been reported that they may not be safe to use (shackle pins not moused) but it is a good anchorage and holding is good in 16-17 meters. The best "Go To" man we have found over 3 trips to Sabang is Iwan (WhatsApp +62 812 4475 0361).
