If you're looking for a place to anchor in Grand Harbor rather than getting a marina berth, I think this is the only place! All of the other harbors are commercial ports or have marinas established with no spots left for anchoring. Rinella is the first cove to port once you enter into Grand Harbor. Holding was fine in mud. At the head of the cove is a beach and there is a bulkhead to tie the dinghy. Walk into town and catch the bus in to downtown Valletta. It is also fun to explore the towns & coves on this side of Grand Harbor including Kalkara Creek with its marina and Grand Harbor Marina. There are cafes, little shops and pretty architecture. Plus, you have a great view of Valletta at night from your boat!

Rinella Bay- from a distance!
Not a great pic of Rinella Bay but it is just to port of the red, moored ship. he other bays are Kalkara and Dockyard Creek.
