There is a pleasant and very popular anchorage just inside the harbor in front of Arenal Grand & Arenal Petit. It is open to south wind and any major swell would roll in but otherwise OK. The dinghy can be beached outside the swim buoys on Arenal Grand beach. It is a long walk around the harbor to get to the town. Approach to the harbor is straightforward and the harbor buoys are lit. It is unclear whether anchoring in any other areas for the port are permitted.
