Belitung was an interesting stop because it offered very unique, smooth boulder formations and had a nice restaurant ashore for cruisers to gather and drink big beers. The anchorage noted here is the one that the Sail2Indonesia Rally book planned on us using, but most boats chose the other side of the point to the west where it shows boats anchored in the sat image. It was easy to beach the dinghy ashore and the protection was better on that side. Taxis can be arranged for tours of the area. The tarsier reserve is worth doing if you haven't seen one before.
