This is a really cute spot and will
likely be a highlight of your time in Flores if the wind is light
when you are here. There is protection from the SE through NW. The water is crystal clear and the mountain views
are gorgeous. There is no village here so the beach is quiet.
Approach is clear & easy except there is a coral shoal on the
eastern side of the entrance and anchorage. Once clear of this,
you'll the see the sandy shelf on which to anchor. This waypoint is
in approx 12 feet. There is additional space further down the beach on
another sandy shelf. Eight boats managed to squeeze in here when we
were here. Snorkeling is good especially if you follow the curve of
the drop-off where the water turns dark blue. Since you'll be
anchored close to shore, you'll hear birdsong in the morning.
