This is the only anchorage in the Gibraltar/La Linea area and it is quite pleasant actually. It gets partial protection from the breakwaters for Marina Alcaidesa and it is a large spot with plenty of room to spread out with good holding. Open west, to the bay. Can also be some swell working its way in. The only drawback is you're not welcome to tie your dinghy inside the marina complex even if you offer to pay. So the beach in front of the anchorage is your option. There is a buoyed boat channel through the swim buoys. There is a chandlery adjacent to the beach and a promenade. Easy walk to Gibraltar- don't forget your passport!
