This secure marina is run by Puertos Canarios so is also very
affordable. Book online or radio on VHF 9 to get a berth. Easy entry
with dockage on short finger piers. Swell works its way inside so boats
move fore & aft on their lines. Bathroom facilities ashore with 2
cold showers and two heads for each. Beware, the bathrooms are cleaned each
morning during the heaviest usage times and are unavailable then!
The town of Gan Tarajal is quite pleasant with decent sized grocery stores, a promenade along shore with restaurants, a black sand beach and a few leafy parks. Popular restaurant in the marina complex- La Cofradia where you can get fresh fish and the usual ensalada & boiled potatoes for accompaniments.
You can walk on trails to Las Playitas resort town to the NE of the marina (1 1/2hrs each way) through undeveloped mountains with some good views.
