Anchorage Facts
Depth meters
Bottom Type Sand

This is an interesting anchorage a few miles up from Santa Cruz. You anchor outside the breakwater that protects the man made and therefore very protected beach. According to tourist information, there are some 40,000 bags of Sahara sand here. Protection is good in NE winds. Anchor outside the breakwater along with local ships and when we visited, a few offshore oil rigs! Ashore there are beach facilities, lots of palm trees, the town of St Andres with restaurants and a promenade to walk on.
