Description (0)
Primarily a fishing port on the west coast of La Gomera and so run by Puertos Canarios. An attractive port with high cliffs, a black sand beach and a small tourist resort with restaurants and a waterfront promenade. The drive down the Valle Gran Rey is quite impressive too! You could take a bus. There isn't much for dockage space here but cruising boats can tie alongside the long pier. It is not a floating pontoon however and there is nearly always swell so you would need to be well fendered and account for tide. The inner harbor is filled with small boat moorings and there are a few med moored boats at the head of the pier but they appear to be long term residents. It may be just as easy to anchor out- see separate marker for this. The water is a pretty color and there are large stingrays at the head of the pier because the local fishermen feed them. Either book on Puertos Canarios booking website (solicitudestf@puertoscanarios.es) or call/radio upon arrival.
