Right off the channel to Chub Cay Marina is a beach with a nice anchorage that is protected from prevailing winds by Chub Cay Point. Once past the first set of fixed channel marks, you can bear off to the anchorage. We found that there was plenty of room for our 6 foot draft monohull and there were 5 other boats there. We anchored in 8 feet LW in sand with good holding. Be sure you are out of the channel as it is busy with boats passing by at all hours. There's nowhere to put the dinghy on the beach (all private and marked off) but you can enter the marina and they were fine with us tying up and very friendly. At this time anchored boats are welcome to use the restaurant as well. Once tied up you can walk the long beach or the road in peace.
