Anchorage Facts
Depth meters
Bottom Type Sand

This anchorage is front & center for touring Vulcano Island.  It can get pretty packed in the high season but we still found a spot with plenty of sulfur fumes to let you know you were near an active volcano! The water was effervescent with bubbles too. The water deepens quickly as you move away from the shore. Holding was good in sand. There are also moorings that could be for rent. There is also a marina called Marina di Vulcanello. This is a busy place with continuous ferry traffic but it is still an interesting spot to be. Good grocery store ashore and of course you can climb the volcano, dip in the hot springs or clover yourself in mud at the mud bath, all close to the ferry dock.

Features
  • Along with a mud pool
