Anchorage Facts

Bottom Type Sand

This bay provides an easy stop when traveling east or west during the SE monsoon season. When approaching the anchorage, be sure to note that there is a long reef that projects southward into the bay from the point- Tg Kura Baja. Once past this reef, you can head SE toward the beach. Anchor in approx 24 feet in sand with good holding. There was virtually no swell when we were here. Snorkeling is OK on the projecting reef & out toward the point. There are a couple of villages ashore. Expect numerous visiting canoes with lots of kids and some adults requesting items from your boat. It is possible to tuck up inside the reef under the lee of the point. Squid boats are moored around this area.
