Koh Bangu is the northernmost island in the Similans. It is directly north of Koh Similan within easy dinghy distance and it offers good protection in a little cove if you can get a vacant mooring; there are several here. There are beautiful boulder formations and decent boulder style snorkeling with lots of varied fish in clear water. We saw a school of mating squid and a tame turtle here too. You won't be alone here, as there are countless day boat and liveaboard dive vessels. But it is a pretty spot and the water clarity is such an improvement after cruising the mainland.
