Louisa Island anchorage is on the northern side of the island and protected from SW-SE winds.  Great holding on sand and an excellent place for a dingy ride around the island (calm weather) through kelp canyons and amazing cave.  The southern side is open to the Southern Ocean and a typical calm day has 1.5-2 m swell but with a long period.  Fantastic site seeing in this remote location.  Entry is only via the west.

Features
  • Rock climbing and exploring
  • On the mainland - dingy ride 0.5 nm. Climbing and rock exploring on the Is.
