Anchorage Facts
Bottom Type Mud

This is a well protected anchorage on the northern side of BH.  Great holding in mud. Note that there are bullets when wind is from N.  Exposed to the SE-SW where the wind will funnel in. Avoid this.  Surveyed the whole area to the head of the bay; uploaded to Navionics.  Excellent place to explore the Heritage Wilderness area and to climb Mt Rugby.  773 m climb, 3.4 km each way - takes 7 hours return for average fitness.  Be prepared to get wet and muddy up to your knee's and trail is close and always damp and slippery.
