About:Mike & Åse are full time live-aboards on their Schionning Wilderness catamaran 'THOR'. Mike sailed their home back from Thailand and after a significant refurbishment we have been sailing the Australian East coast and Tasmania for the last two years and are heading into the broader South Pacific next season.

A remote anchorage in SW Tasmania. Room for 1 or 2 catamarans. We rafted up and set the anchors (both boats) then motored forward 25 m straddling our anchors (between the hulls) until our bows were just off the beach (low tide. Holding power we held position and took stern lines (one from each boat) onto the shore and tied off. One boat then deployed their anchor bridle and took a long line up into the tree's (with bark protector) where we 'pulled' the rafted vessels tight against the 'straddled' anchors. Entry was in a crack in the wall which cannot be seen until you are within 300 m of it. This is a fantastic remote secluded anchorage in very clear water over hard sand. A swim at 12degC was had.
