This is a nice anchorage close to Kuto. Ilot Moro is a small island surrounded by a very large reef which makes for good protection from SW-East and maybe even NE winds. You'll want good light to enter the anchorage. After carefully coming around to the west side of the island outside the barrier reef, pass through a narrow but not too difficult break in the reef. It would be more stressful for a catamaran but doable. The deepest water (and the anchorage waypoint) is just inside in approx 10 feet of sand with good holding. Closer in, the depth shoals significantly. We thought the snorkeling on the SW side of the island/lagoon was reasonably good. There are small beaches on the island as well as some tables & decorations presumably for use on cruise ship days. Be cautious for sea snakes resting on shore.
