Ilot Brosse is close to Kuto Bay and is good in stable E, SE & S winds. There's a fair amount of coral surrounding & extending out from the island so approach with caution. There are clear pools among the coral heads that are good for anchoring in white sand with good holding, approx 20 feet. On shore, the island has a beautiful white sand beach & a trail that runs across the island to the windward side where there are pretty pines and a sheltered lagoon where small reef sharks like to hang out at low tide. Watch for sea snakes on shore. We saw a blue & black variation! Day tourists are brought to this island. We didn't find any decent snorkeling.
