Emae Island Anchorage

Anchor in 35-40 feet among rocky sand substrate with some coral in the mix too! Very clear, blue water. Protected from SE winds but some swell will likely be noticeable. Friendly locals onshore. A dirt road close to the anchorage leads across the island approx 1 1/2 miles for pleasant walking. There are a few uninhabited buildings visible from the anchorage although there is no village here. This is good place to land the dinghy. Just proceed SW from the anchorage making a curve around the protruding reef until you see a clear pathway to shore.
