The Guadiana river is navigable until Cais da Penha d'Aguia some 35nm upstream. Where you find a jetty to moor. It is possible to anchor along the river but tricky to find a sandy/muddy spot where your anchor sets in well. Just downstream of Pomerao you will find a tricky part where you have to leave the outside of the stream to avoid some debries and rocks. You can find information in the local library in Alcotim.
