The south entrance to the anchorage is the only option for deep draft keelboats. Enter mid-channel and motor slowly to your comfortable depth. This spot is magical. Shallow draft craft (less than 2 metres) can easily navigate the northern entrance, although we recommend a dinghy reconnaissance beforehand. These two islands are uninhabited except for fishermen from local boats. Dinghy and sea canoe exploration of this area is best around mid-tide, when caves and coves are fully accessible. The small islets to the southwest of Koh Bulan are riddled with caves
