This cala is just south of Puerto de Ciudadela and provides an option for anchoring while still being steps away from the town. Islote de la Galera guards the middle of the entrance to the cala and there is a rocky shoal just behind it on approach so be sure to read the water. Anchor around this islote as the interior of the cala is blocked off by swimmer buoys. Holding is OK in sand/weed. The ferry terminal just outside the cala offers periodic wakes but this is still a convenient spot to be see the old city. The northern wall near the entrance has been quarried in the past and there is a square indentation making a protected area where you can tie the dinghy. People use this spot to swim too. In fact, you can swim all the way up the cala inside the buoys to the head where there is a sand beach. Use the waterfront promenade to reach the town of Ciudadela.
