This is a busy tourist resort area set in a beautiful cala with high cliffy, pine covered sides. It is easy to picture what it must have been like before all the development. The most protected area for anchoring is crossed by yellow swimmers buoys leaving the boats out in the chop. There can be some pretty good sized waves rolling in if the wind is from the southerly quadrant. Holding is good in sand. A river runs into the anchorage with a metal pedestrian bridge crossing it and dockage for small vessels beyond it. Traveling very far beyond is hampered by very shallow water. Ashore there are restaurants & bars, a pharmacy, several very small supermarkets catering to hotel guests and boat rentals, a small waterslide park and hiking trails.
