Home to the center of the S'Albufera Des Grau Natural Park, this cala allows the best access and is very beautiful at the same time. Be careful on approach as there are a lot of rocky outcrops to either side and a large rock just in front of Caleta Avellana. Plus, most of the cala proper is filled with moorings (some of which you can rent) and the innermost part is too shallow or marked off for swimmers. But, you can anchor outside all of this and still be protected except in an east wind. There is a lot of room actually. The little town has a dinghy dock (1 hr), restaurants, kayak rentals, trails to the park and a good feel. You bring your rubbish to the entrance to the town, a distance away from the dinghy dock. The water is very clear here and colorful and this is a popular anchorage area. It is also a great place to explore by dinghy.
