Son Saura is a large, open cala with a southern exposure and a lot of swell in the afternoon breeze if the wind is coming from the southern quadrant and it can persist all night! It has a low, rocky shoreline and a sandy beach at its head. Tourist boats drop off many day-trippers to use the beach and there is a large buoyed swim area with a channel for small boats & dinghies. There is a small stream of fresh water that enters on the eastern beach. There is road access & trash disposal in summer. A popular coastal path runs along the shore and to adjacent calas. Plenty of room to anchor despite it being a busy place.
