This is a picturesque anchorage and quiet retreat after the business of Patong Bay. Proceed into the middle of the bay noting the reefs off to both sides as you enter. Holding is great in sand. There's a long beach and it continues past the very edge of the runway so you can watch planes land up close. Ashore there are several restaurants, quickie marts, a few hotels and the airport is a short taxi ride away. It is a popular place to drop guests off. This beach is part of Sirinath National Park. The large pine trees that line the shore are pretty and provide much appreciated shade to stroll in.
