008deg 05.25min N 098deg 36.20min E There is a good restaurant at the mouth of the channel with a small floating pontoon giving access at all but the lowest tides. Further in is a very secure anchorage in both seasons. Anchor well clear of the rocks visible in the middle of the channel and marked with an isolated danger post. There are a few small Muslim villages on the North side of the channel where you can get provisions and the largest of which has a large concrete jetty where you can take a longtail to Phuket. It is also possible to get a tuk-tuk to the village where basic provisions are available or around the headland to Sabai Corner and Long beach which both have numerous resorts and restaurants.
