One of many islets in the southern lagoon, this one is among the tallest. It is surrounded by a very large barrier reef which gives good protection in most wind directions as long as they aren't too strong. This is quite a large anchorage actually and this waypoint is in 28 feet white sand. We found only mediocre snorkeling. Although it can be a challenge getting ashore (best at half tide or more), you can make your way across the shallows to a little white sand beach. There's a trail to the top of the hill on the west side of the island. Be aware that there are lots of sea snakes (tricot rays) so that you don't step on any- some are even near the top! The view is really pretty and provides good shots of your boat bobbing at anchor.
