Anchorage Facts
Depth 10 meters
Bottom Type Rock

Although it is just a small outcrop on the chart, this is actually a really impressive peninsula with some nice things to see. You can anchor on either side of the peninsula but the NW anchorage forms more of a protected cove and is more spectacular.  Anchor in 30-60 feet on a sand patch if you can. It is otherwise rocky. This is a settled weather anchorage only and expect some swell. In the NW anchorage there is a little stone dock to land the dinghy. The swimming is beautiful here and many people enjoy this spot during the day. Tourist boats drop passengers off here too. There is a cafe/restaurant in the white house visible from this spot. There is also an impressive window in the rock. A rocky trail marked with blazes leads up to the summit of the rock outcrop of Foradada where you can get good photos looking down at your boat. Near the white house is a picturesque dirt road that switchbacks up the hillside to both the main road and also to an interesting house museum called Son Marroig (about a 30 minute walk). It was the house of Archduke Luis Salvador who died in 1915 and the house contains furniture and paintings from that time along with a pleasant garden. He used to keep his steamship in this anchorage and there are photos of it in the museum. The dirt road offers great views and there are virtually no cars on it as the head of it is blocked off. People who visit the cove mostly come on foot or by tourist or private boat.
