Soller is the most protected harbor on the whole of the north coast of Mallorca and makes a great base to explore the area. Entry is easy and while there are a lot of moorings, there is still a pretty good sized area to anchor. Very protected, except from the NW and holding is good in sand. There is a lot to do in this mountainous area. In Puerto Soller, there are several small grocery stores, a coin-op laundry (both behind the Ports IB marina on the side streets) and plenty of restaurants & cafes. You can walk or take the tram to the town of Soller, a few km inland. Lots of hiking, frequent bus service to all other parts of the island. A popular walk is to take the coastal route to the town of Deia. There is a lot of history here to learn about. And lemons everywhere! This is a fun place and a highlight of Mallorca.

This is one of my favorite anchorages in all of the Balerics. Great access to hiking trails with a safe anchorage to leave the boat in.
