This vintage train that runs from Soller to Palma is a great excursion if visiting the area. Completed in 1912, it cuts through the Tramuntana Mountains passing lovely scenery and long, cool tunnels in shiny varnished wood train cars. While not the least expensive way to get to Palma, the one hour relaxing ride is a bit of history and something unique to do. It departs from the old train station in downtown Soller and arrives in downtown Palma. See website below for timetables and more history. There is also an historic tram that runs from Soller Port to the station in Soller if coming from the anchorage.
