The Nalaiafu River which stems from this blue hole is right in the Oyster Bay Anchorage. The waypoint marks the opening of the river. There's a shallow bar at the entrance & brisk currents so it is best done around high tide. Right away, you pass over the remains of a fallen metal bridge probably from WWII days- be careful of your prop. Then you pass under a bridge (the main road) . Current can be swift here too. Continuing up the river, the scenery is beautiful, the birdsong is loud & there's the ocassional cow at the water's edge. The water gets clearer & you'll see floats of watercress. At the head of it all is a large, clear, blue pool with rope swings, landscaping and facilities. In 2014 it was 500VT/pp, collected at the pool. Very refreshing!
