If anchored in Waecicu and interested
in taking a walk, there is a pretty good one here provided you go
either in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun isn't too
strong. If you land the dinghy at Sylvia Resort and walk on the
concrete road up the steep hill to the intersection, turn left and
start heading north. It is a quiet, dirt road with great views, less
litter than usual and rolling hills. There are a couple of houses out
this way and a small resort access road but other than that, it
continues on toward a point of land where there is a shaded gazebo
and more pretty views- about 6km one way. There are a couple of points where there are
forks in the road but stay on the most worn of them and you'll be OK.
This waypoint is at the intersection at the top of the hill from Sylvia Resort where you want to turn left.
