Ilha Formosa is a popular beach with ferry service from Tavira but if anchored out on the Ria Formosa, it might not be easy to see where to land the dinghy to visit the ocean side beach.

You can pull the dinghy up here on the beach like the locals do and use the boardwalk to get across.
